JCCRP provides support for those in need through a wide range of comprehensive social services.
The dedicated team is committed to serving everyone with compassion, integrity, and respect. All services are offered at no cost, making help accessible to all. When people come to JCCRP, they know they’ll be met with care and receive the support they need.

We operate a large kosher food warehouse and offer Medicaid assistance, Medicare enrollment and troubleshooting, SNAP enrollment and troubleshooting, housing assistance, Holocaust survivor services, crisis intervention, support for single mother families, holiday programs and much more.
The JCCRP case management team assists thousands of community members each year, providing a broad range of social support services for people in the community. Services include case management, connections to resources for emergency cash grants for utility and rent arrears, access to our digital kosher food pantry. We advocate on behalf of our clients for public benefits. We guide and assist eligible clients in obtaining public benefits such as SNAP, HEAP, SCRIE, and DRIE.

We empower our clients to be able to fully understand their circumstances and their rights, and prepare clients to self-advocate. JCCRP social workers and case workers guide community members through the process of obtaining health insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid. Our case workers assist clients in understanding their insurance coverage; help resolve billing issues, appeal denials, apply for financial help; connect with legal assistance; provide housing advice, advocacy, and referrals to obtain and/or maintain secure housing- and much more.

About JCCRP
We operate the only digital kosher food warehouse shopping experience in the area, enabling community members to receive healthy kosher foods at no cost. Our Success Space for Women program enables single mothers to develop confidence and skills in financial literacy, time management, career pathways, educational opportunities, and coping with life skills for successful single parenthood, helping them eliminate debt and attain financial stability while having a supportive case worker by their side.

Wonderful holiday programming such as back to school supplies, Chanukah toy drive, and chol hamoed in between school and camp events offer year round support to families in the neighborhood.
JCCRP is the first stop-one stop social service organization in the Far Rockaway Five Towns community when a family is in need.

Our History

Jewish Community Council of the Rockaway Peninsula (JCCRP) was founded in 1972 as a response to the overwhelming communal need for access to financial aid and local government advocacy.

The mission of the Jewish Community Council of the Rockaway Peninsula (JCCRP) has been consistent: to provide struggling families in our community with the financial and supportive resources they need to thrive and attain stability and a good quality of life, to advocate for their overall wellbeing, and to provide our services with dignity and grace. JCCRP transformed into a community social service organization where assistance is provided at no charge.

Over the decades JCCRP has expanded to offer a wide range of social services, broadening our communal reach and the number of clients we serve each year.
Today, JCCRP serves over 26,000 poverty-stricken individuals in Far Rockaway, the Five Towns and neighboring communities with the hallmark of the agency; dignity and grace.
