Kosher
Food Pantry
The kosher digital food pantry allows community members to make a food order from the comfort of their homes. They can schedule an appointment to pick up their order once a month in a discreet and dignified manner. Clients select fresh, frozen and dry food items, an assortment of proteins, grains, and fruits and vegetables based on the size of their families.
- Fresh produce available daily
- Over 1,400 families assisted each month
- The JCCRP food pantry is the only kosher only food pantry that is a recipient of Food Bank for NYC and City Harvest foods in the vicinity.
- Emergency food pantry is available daily or emergency situations
- Holiday distributions include cholov yisroel dairy products, chicken, meat, fish and other high quality items.

SNAP
Enrollment
The Nutrition Outreach and Education Program Coordinator (NOEP) at JCCRP assists community members with connecting to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) (formerly known as food stamps).
- Prescreens to determine if one may be eligible for SNAP and amount they can expect to receive each month
- Assistance with completing, submitting, and following up on the SNAP application
- Recertifications for SNAP to ensure individuals continue receiving their benefits
- Advocacy and help for any issues that may occur with the SNAP benefit, including mediation and referrals for legal assistance as needed

Health
Insurance
JCCRP Health Insurance department offers a full spectrum of guidance concerning benefits coverage to help people navigate the complexities of Medicare and Medicaid.
- Our goal is to provide essential guidance and counseling at no cost to help anyone in need of assistance with obtaining, keeping and paying for their health coverage, through Medicaid or Medicare.
- We help people new to Medicare understand their coverage and explore the options available to them for coverage.
- Guidance is provided to find, join, or change Medicare drug coverage plans.
- Help clients save money by enrolling them in local, state and federal programs such as Extra Help, Medicare Savings Program and EPIC.
- If someone has lost their benefits or was accidentally terminated from a health insurance plan, our Health Insurance Counseling Center can assist them through the Complaints and Appeals process.

Assistance
The JCCRP Housing Department works with clients to maintain or obtain safe, secure housing for their families. Our trained case workers advocate tirelessly to ensure community members are well represented and assisted in a timely manner.
- Landlord/tenant mediation, including advocating for tenants to obtain repairs in their apartment.

Management
Caring social workers and caseworkers meet with clients to assess their presenting issues and needs. The goal is to help clients reach a point of financially stability. The caseworkers assess the client’s clients’ complete situation to better understand the help and resources they may need to be financially secure moving forward.

Holocaust Survivor
